We will handle customs clearance however there are certain documents you will need to complete in order to aid the process. This will usually take the form of an up to date VISA, passport copy and the completion and return of customs documents sent to you with your booking confirmation.

For moves within Europe we ask for the full amount prior to collection, moves outside of Europe will require a 50% deposit prior to collection with the remaining balance payable once your goods have been returned to our warehouse, measured and weighed (approximately 5-10 days after collection.)

We are able to store your goods at our warehouse from £14 per week however we can also source storage options in your destination country as well upon request.

This will depend on the final volume of your move and your own preference. Most shipments we handle fall into the groupage or part load category whereby you and several other clients will share a shipping container/European transport bound for the same part of the world.

We offer full damage and loss insurance at 3.07% of the declared value of your goods or for owner packed goods loss only insurance at 2.19% of the declared value. This will be in addition to any quotation price unless value is indicated with initial request.

You are also free to source your own separate insurance and are not obliged to take our insurance.

We have a tightknit group of trustworthy destination agents and once your goods have set sail from your origin port you will be passed a certificate of shipment detailing who your collection agent is and their contact details. If you have any cause for concern however you can contact us at any time during your move.

There are no ‘hidden fees’ we try to include as many of the costs as possible in our quotations however there are some costs that we can’t include such as customs inspection fees, demurrage and any relevant duties and taxes. We are always honest about your move and will advise you of any potential costs as best we can.

The more information you provide, the more accurate we can be with our quotation. Everything from parking, access to your residence and even what floor you are on can affect the final price if we aren’t notified from your first inquiry.

With our pre-packed goods collection service we offer a collection date and can indicate if the likely collection time will be AM or PM.

With full container shipments you will be notified of your approximate arrival time for the container.

Transit times for your goods can vary depending on your shipping method and destination, below are a few examples of our more popular destinations and their approximate door to door transit times.

  • USA – 8-12 weeks
  • Canada – 10-14 weeks
  • Australia/New Zealand – 10-14 weeks
  • Europe to Europe – 14-21 days
